So I decided that the finished object cannot be called Snoopy, he does bare a resemblance to the famous cartoon character but he is now named Tom!

I definitely can see the family resemblance.
The first duvet cover I ever bought was in 1979 - a Snoopy one saying, ‘happiness is settling down for a long winters nap’. It was made of really nice cotton. At this stage, as you can imagine, it is well well faded, but you can still see Snoopy and the writing. Patrick always loved it. I always put this faded cover on his bed when he came home.
Recently he asked me could he have it. I reluctantly gave it to him!

Thanks for the words of encouragement ladies. Wow, that duvet must be fantastic quality….it’s older than me! I know it’s a cliche but they really don’t make things like they used to.
