That’s a Wrap

Am I the only one who loves wrapping presents?   Maybe that’s why I love Christmas so much……..anywho I just wanted to share a picture with you of the wrapped version of the baby blanket I posted about recently.  It’s pretty hard to wrap soft presents nicely so I just used some tissue paper and tied a ribbon around it.  I can’t decide if it looks messy and silly or cool and casual……what do you think?

It’s Raining Babies

This is the second baby blanket I’ve done this year…..this one is a little more traditional in terms of colour but I stuck with the block layout.  Given the number of weddings I have this year, looks like I could be kept going with these for the next few years :-)

I used the same book for the block patterns but instead of using different coloured blocks I used a variegated yarn in various baby appropriate shades.  I mostly stuck to variations of the granny square, the kitsch enthusiast in me loves Granny Squares ;-)

Bobbles are one of my favourite things to crochet :-)

On the Cards

Just a quick update on some cards I made recently.

These are wedding anniversary cards, very simply made by sticking some yellow paper onto the front of the blank cards, then attaching some pretty ribbon and “best wishes’.  The colourful flower brads came home with my SO’s parents from America last year.

Er, obviously this is a birthday card, the background paper is all one sheet which is pretty cool.  That was the last of that paper and I’m gutted, Ioved it.  The ribbon is cute and colourful as well and I used some bright pink ink on my Birthday stamper.

This card was made from a baby card set that I had in my stash, all the bits were in the set and I pretty much just attached them!

Just noticed that the ribbon is falling off this card - better check it before I actually give it to someone.  Again, just some fancy paper, two silver stickers and ribbon attached to a blank card.

The front of this card is some recycled wrapping paper, some star brads and a cake sticker!
