We’ve decided to give hampers as gifts to some lucky people this year. I’m in the process of making them up at the moment and will post pictures as soon as they are ready. But if you are like me then you like to get a head start on these things, so I said I’d post a list of my chosen suppliers for the hamper goodies.
The hampers will contain things from the following list:
- Wine from Olio and Farina
- Wine from The Wine Buff
- Spice Mix from Spicendipity
- Olives from Olio and Farina
- Stuffed Peppers from Olio and Farina
- Ginger Girl’s Cranberry Chutney
- Ginger Girl’s Seville Marmalade
- Chocolates by Lorge
- Red Onion Relish by Bellish Ltd (087 9477669 - available in the Milk Market in Limerick on Saturday)
- Seaweed cheese by Maja of Dingle Peninsula Cheese (available from the WIld Side in the Milk Market)
- Crackers of some sort for the cheese/relish
I’ve bought some baskets in Dunnes and some nice festive Ribbon to decorate them, photos as I said above to follow. Margaret has been giving hampers for years and they are always well received, she does one better than me though, she makes a lot of what she puts into the hampers. I am way too busy making yarn related products to make food as well but if you’re so inclined it is a great gift to give.

This sounds lovely! I made a hamper a few times with a bunch of little products from Avon and it was very well received!

Apologies for the delay in replying to your comments ladies…my blog forgot to email me to tell me I had comments >)
Lou, you’ve loads of time yet.
Rachel, more like I want to get everything done early so that I can eat mince pies for the whole of December!!
Lottie, exactly
Mary T, I remember you telling me about that, I think anything that thought has gone into will go down well.
Lette, yeah, I’m thinking less stuff and higher quality so fingers crossed the recipients will like them

What a great idea, I may steal it, I have some pretty awkward people to buy for this year. Everyone loves hampers, and peole hate getting more soap and slippers so it’s a perfect solution. I’ve bought a few things this year from etsy. I’m gonna try to get all my stuff from either the markets or online. Last year was just so stressful

Ruth, they come together very easily actually, I have alot of the bits and pieces bought now for the fun bit of arranging them in the baskets
