Lou, I loved that Batman, Adam West was a legend.

Shane, The Wild Onion is fantastic, but saturday's are just so mental in there, we tend to go to Cafe Noir now too!

Saturdays always have more routine about them than Sundays for me. I get up, loll about the house for a while then around 11.30 (ten minutes time:-)) walk to milk market. Used do the whole wild onion thing years ago but with a three year old as my shopping companion, I don't visit there as often now (tables aren't that suitable). Occasionally now will go to Cafe Noir instead.
Then pick up Irish Times and guardian and home for a leisurely lunch. Looking forward to it now.

My Saturdays vary depending on whether they're childfree or not. With child it's pretty much a pj day, unless it's term-time and then I'll have class from 9.45 til 4pm every 2nd Saturday. Urgh.

Tomorrow it's childfree so it's to Wild Onion for coffee and brekkie :) Yay! Followed by a stroll to wherever I please or a car trip to Windy Gap with my father & the hound. Knitting & crochet will be worked on before, during & most likely after Stitch'n'Bitch. See ya there! :)

When I was a kid we lived in the middle of nowhere & my father was into early rising. So we got a lot of quality tv watching in. Batman!! Nanananana Batman!! was the order of the afternoon. Tee hee.

Depending on the time of year we got harangued into picking blackcurrants, goosberries and raspberries off the fruit plants in our field. Ate half of them of course. Baked, made jam, drew, painted, read, hung out with the dog, visited relatives, stayed with our Limerick city gran overnight. Saturday was pretty much about doing 'stuff' we didn't get to do during the week in school.

Lette, see you tomorrow maybe?

Aileen, I wish I was in dublin, I'd love to do a knitting class, I can't find one in Limerick. Funnily enough, there is a crochet class though!

Jen, it's so yum, you'll have to come to Limerick soon for a visit. Everyone should come to limerick on the friday night before the blog awards...plan?

Edinburgh Farmers market is over by the Castle, at the West End of Princes Street, 9am til 1pm. They do a pretty mean roast hog roll too - although I'm dying to try out the Limerick version too!

Ah... for me, it's either knitting in my pyjamas catching up on podcasts or getting stuck into it teaching knitting and crochet classes at This is Knit. I'm not sure which I enjoy more, honestly! Knitting has almost become my substitute for early-morning cartoons... I hop out of bed all excited to keep working on a project :D

Grannymar, I think maybe saturday's a bigger deal when you're in the 9-5 world...most people I know live for them. Kind of sad really, if we had jobs we loved maybe saturday's wouldn't seem like such a big thing.

Jen, I never went to the farmers market in Edinburgh and I'm sure I was there on a saturday last year...my friend has just moved there so maybe when I visit her.

Tatoca, I'm not on bebo either and the link works for me as it's a public profile but anyway, it's on in Limerick, in Leamy House (Hartstone Street) at 2pm. You're in Dublin yes? This is Knit in Blackrock run Knit Nights as far as I know but I'm not sure on times etc.

Saturdays are now either about sleeping in and then shuffling around in my PJs for ages or getting up and going off into town. This weekend, it's a much-needed haircut, a trip to Temple Bar Market, followed by a nice lunch somewhere as a treat.

When I was a kid, it was cartoons - or we were forced out of bed to go walking in the Yorkshire Dales (something I would definitely appreciate now!). During my teenage years, it was about meeting my best friend in town for a gossip, looking for REM records and volunteering in an archeological resource centre. Just before I moved over, it was a trip along to the Farmers Market in Edinburgh, followed by a good wander around the shops and down to the bakery to buy yummy goods. And that's my plan for next Saturday, as I'll be going over for the weekend. Hurray!
